Description
The Hardwick is made from solid medium oak rather than a veneer, with large solid oak mouldings and a high gloss finish.
The mouldings are deliberately generous. Where most coffins use a fine moulding, the Hardwick uses a large one, which gives it a bolder and more architectural outline.
We also use the Hardwick to show something that applies right across the range. Any coffin can be engraved with wording of your choice, cut directly into the timber. That might be a name, a word such as Grandad or Mum, a date, or a line that meant something to them. The photographs here show engraving on the Hardwick so you can see the depth and the lettering.
