Description
The Willersley is an oak veneered coffin with solid oak mouldings, finished in matt rather than gloss.
It is the quietest coffin we offer. The matt finish takes the shine off completely, so the oak looks closer to furniture than to something polished for the occasion. The grain is still there but it is soft rather than reflective.
There is no metal on the Willersley. In place of brass or chrome handles it has shaped solid oak handles cut into the sides, and the fitting on the lid is a small turned wooden finial. Everything you can see is timber.
Families tend to choose it for exactly that reason, whether that is a preference for something natural and understated or a wish to avoid anything that looks ornate.
