Description
The Milldale is a mahogany veneered coffin with solid mahogany mouldings, finished to a high gloss.
Mahogany is the reason families choose it. Where oak reads golden and open grained, mahogany is a deeper reddish brown with a closer grain, and a gloss finish darkens it further. It is the more formal of the two timbers.
It is fitted with polished brass handles on ornate scroll brackets. A brass nameplate can be fitted to the lid and engraved with the name and dates of the person who has died.
